Why do you donate 50% of your proceeds to other organizations?

There are so many great organizations in our community that simply do not get enough funding to sustain their programs. We believe linking arms with these organizations and sharing what we have with them will build a strong, interconnected community.

How does 50/50 bookstore stay in business?

50/50 is a non-profit community bookstore that relies on a couple of different revenue streams to support its overhead costs. We rely on our shoppers to pay what they can, we rely on our supporters' book donations, and a portion of books are made for sale online to support the bookstore. 

What are your hours of operation? 

50/50 bookstore is open every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

How can I get involved?

We are hiring to fill positions at 50/50 books now! We are looking for part time help to work Saturdays and Sundays. Email annie@5050books.com for more info. 

We are also looking for volunteers as we can always use help getting new product onto our shelves. We will communicate more information on this as we get more future events planned.

How do I suggest an organization for 50/50 to partner with?

We partner with different organizations each month and donate a portion of our net proceeds to these organizations.
